HOW DOES THE ROOMMATE MATCHING PROGRAM WORK? (Private Bedroom Leases Only)

We offer one-, two- and three- bedroom furnished apartments, with an exclusive roommate matching service if you wish to share a space with old or new friends! If you would like to participate in our free roommate matching, complete the roommate matching form built into your application, making notes of any friends that are applying at Northside too that you would like to live with. The form asks your preferences in your future roommate, such as hobbies and interests, sleep routines, pet preferences, and study habits. 

Our successful matching system helps us match you with someone that you will like living with for the terms of your lease. If you rent by the bed, roommates will have separate leases, so if you or your roommate moves out early, you won’t be responsible for his/her portion of the lease.
WHAT IF I DON'T LIKE MY ROOMMATE AFTER MOVE IN?

If there are differences between roommates that cannot be resolved, residents may be able to transfer as rooms are available. A transfer fee will apply. Please contact the community office for more information. 
WHAT IS AN INDIVIDUAL LEASE?

Each resident at Northside signs an individual lease for their individual room. You are only responsible for your rent amount and length of your lease agreement. The individual lease agreements protect you in the event that your roommates cannot make their payments or if they leave their lease agreement early. 
HOW LONG IS THE LEASE AGREEMENT?

The lease term will begin in August every year and end on July 31st of the following year.
WHAT IF I NEED TO BREAK MY LEASE?

Northside does not offer an option to buy-out the lease at this time. Per the lease contract, you will be required to find someone to take over the remaining days and financial obligation left on your lease. Then, there is a $200 early termination fee once a new tenant has moved into your space. 
IS THERE A DEPOSIT AND APPLICATION FEE?

Our property requires a $50 application fee per applicant and per guarantor. The deposit is based on floor plan selected.
WHAT UTILITIES ARE INCLUDED IN THE RENT?

The rent amount includes utilities such as water, sewer and trash, complimentary high speed internet service and 76 cable channels, including several high-definition channels. 
HOW DO I PAY MY RENT?

Northside makes paying rent easy! Residents can pay rent online at www.liveatnorthside.com, or in our office, which is open seven days per week. 
CAN I BRING A PET?

Yes! Our pet friendly community welcomes 2 pets per home. We require a $200 fee and a $200 refundable deposit for each pet, with a $15 monthly pet rent per pet.  We do not have a weight limit for animals; our community does not accept the following breeds: Akita, Chow, Doberman, Pit Bull, Rottweiler, American Staffordshire Terriers, English Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Wolf hybrids or any mix of the mentioned breeds are not allowed. For further information regarding our pet policy, please contact the community office.
WHAT FURNITURE IS INCLUDED IN THE FURNISHED APARTMENT?

Our furnished apartments feature everything you need to feel at home:
  • Bedroom: standard Queen size bed, 4 drawer dresser, nightstand, desk and chair
  • Living Room: couch, coffee table, side table, chair, entertainment center
  • Kitchen: stainless steel appliances, bar stools or kitchen table and chairs
